The Patrol Torpedo boat PT-109 was a wooden-hulled motor torpedo boat that served in the United States Navy during World War II. It is best known for being the boat that was commanded by future President John F. Kennedy when it was sunk by a Japanese destroyer in the Solomon Islands in 1943.
