Tromøya is the largest island in Southern Norway, formerly an independent municipality, and is now part of Arendal municipality. Hove is located in the southwestern part of Tromøy, and along the coastline towards the Skagerrak lies Raet National Park. The Tromøy Bridge provided a road connection to the mainland in 1961.
