The Ansaldo A.1 Balilla was an Italian biplane fighter aircraft of World War I. Designed by Secondo Campini and produced by Ansaldo, it was a single-seat, single-engine aircraft with a wooden fuselage and fabric-covered wings. The Balilla was armed with two 7.7mm machine guns and could reach a maximum speed of 135 mph. It was used by the Italian Air Force on the Western Front and in the Balkans.
