Need help deciding?

The Messerschmitt Me 262, often called the Schwalbe or Sturmvogel, was the world's first operational jet fighter. Developed by Messerschmitt during World War II, it was first flown in 1942 and entered service in 1944. The Me 262 was faster and more maneuverable than any Allied fighter of its time, but its production was limited by shortages of materials and skilled labor. As a result, only about 1,400 Me 262s were built, and they saw limited combat action. Nevertheless, the Me 262 had a significant impact on the course of the war, and it is considered one of the most important aircraft of all time.
