The Maus was a German super-heavy tank developed in the final stages of World War II. It was designed to be the heaviest and most powerful tank in the world, weighing nearly 188 tonnes. The Maus was armed with a 128 mm KwK 44 L/55 gun, which was capable of firing armour-piercing rounds at a range of over 3,500 meters. The tank was also protected by 200 mm of armour, which made it virtually impervious to most Allied anti-tank weapons. Despite its impressive specifications, the Maus was never mass-produced, and only two prototypes were ever built. The Maus remains one of the most iconic and well-known tanks of World War II.
