Mitsubishi A6M Zero
The Mitsubishi A6M Zero, also known as the Reisen and Allied reporting name Zeke, was a long-range fighter aircraft employed by the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service from 1940 to 1945. The A6M was designed to be maneuverable and have a long range, and was armed with two 20 mm cannons and two 7.7 mm machine guns. The Zero was a formidable opponent for Allied aircraft in the early years of the Pacific War, but its effectiveness declined as newer Allied fighters were introduced.
