The Fountain of Neptune is a bronze statue of the god Neptune, located in the Piazza del Nettuno in Bologna, Italy. The fountain was designed by Giambologna and completed in 1563. The statue depicts Neptune standing on a chariot pulled by four horses. Neptune is holding a trident in his right hand and a dolphin in his left hand. The fountain is surrounded by four smaller statues of putti, or cherubs. The Fountain of Neptune is a popular tourist destination and is considered to be one of the most beautiful fountains in Italy.
