The Panavia Tornado is a British military fighter jet. It is a twin-engine, variable-geometry wing aircraft, designed and built by Panavia Aircraft GmbH, a consortium of British, German, and Italian aerospace companies. The Tornado was developed and produced in the 1970s and 1980s, and entered service in the early 1980s. The Tornado has been used in a number of conflicts, including the Gulf War and the Kosovo War.
