The Beriev Be-12 Chayka (NATO reporting name: Mail) was a Soviet amphibious STOL utility aircraft designed by the Beriev Design Bureau and manufactured by the Irkutsk Aircraft Plant. Developed from the earlier Be-6, the Be-12 was intended to replace the Antonov An-2 in the transport role.
