The SR-71 Blackbird is an iconic Cold War-era reconnaissance aircraft designed and built by Lockheed Martin. It was developed in the 1960s and served as a high-altitude, high-speed spy plane for the United States Air Force. The SR-71 was capable of Mach 3 speeds and could fly at altitudes of over 80,000 feet, making it virtually invulnerable to enemy interception. The aircraft was made primarily of titanium and featured a sleek, black design that helped it blend in with the night sky. The SR-71 was retired in 1998, but it remains one of the most advanced and impressive aircraft ever built.
