The Beriev Be-12 Chayka (Russian: Бе-12 Чайка, lit. Seagull) is a Soviet twin-engine amphibious flying boat designed by the Beriev Design Bureau and manufactured by the Irkutsk Aircraft Plant. Developed in the late 1950s, the Be-12 entered service with the Soviet Navy in 1960 and remained in production until 1973. A total of 143 aircraft were built.
