The Petlyakov Pe-2 was a Soviet dive bomber and ground-attack aircraft used in World War II. It was designed by Vladimir Petlyakov and produced by the Petlyakov Design Bureau from 1941 to 1945. The Pe-2 was a twin-engine, mid-wing monoplane with a retractable landing gear. It had a crew of three: a pilot, a navigator, and a gunner. The Pe-2 was armed with two 20 mm cannon and two 7.62 mm machine guns. It could also carry up to 1,000 kg of bombs.
