Alfredo Gobbi (1877-1965) was an Italian violinist and composer. He was born in Milan, Italy, and began studying the violin at the age of six. He later studied at the Milan Conservatory, where he won several prizes. After graduating, he began performing as a soloist and chamber musician. He also taught violin at the Milan Conservatory. In 1929, he was appointed concertmaster of the Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala. He held this position until 1946. Gobbi was a prolific composer, and his works include operas, symphonies, concertos, and chamber music. He died in Milan, Italy, in 1965.
