Alfredo Gobbi (1912-1965) was an Italian jazz violinist and composer. He was one of the most important figures in the history of jazz violin, and his work has been praised by critics and musicians alike. Gobbi was born in Milan, Italy, and began playing the violin at an early age. He studied at the Milan Conservatory and later played with various orchestras. In the 1930s, he began playing jazz and quickly became one of the most popular jazz violinists in Europe.
