The Mazda MX-5 is a lightweight two-door sports car produced by Mazda since 1989. The car has been offered in four generations, all of which have been front-engine, rear-wheel drive, and two-seat convertibles. The first generation, known as the NA, was produced from 1989 to 1993 and featured a 1.6-liter inline-four engine. The second generation, known as the NB, was produced from 1993 to 1998 and featured a 1.8-liter inline-four engine. The third generation, known as the NC, was produced from 2005 to 2015 and featured a 2.0-liter inline-four engine. The fourth generation, known as the ND, was introduced in 2015 and features a 1.5-liter inline-four engine.
