George Best was a Northern Irish professional footballer who played as a winger for Manchester United and the Northern Ireland national team. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time. Best was known for his dribbling, passing, and scoring abilities, as well as his charismatic personality. He was a key member of the Manchester United team that won the European Cup in 1968. Best was also named European Footballer of the Year in 1968. After leaving Manchester United in 1974, Best played for a number of other clubs, including Fulham, Los Angeles Aztecs, and NASL. He retired from playing in 1984. Best died in 2005 at the age of 59.
