Horten ho229A

The Horten Ho 229 was a German World War II fighter aircraft project. It was the first jet-powered flying wing aircraft to be designed and built. The Ho 229 was designed by the Horten brothers, Walter and Reimar, and was intended to be a high-performance interceptor aircraft. The aircraft was powered by two Junkers Jumo 004B turbojet engines and had a maximum speed of 598 mph. The Ho 229 was armed with two 30 mm MK 108 cannons and two 20 mm MG 151 cannons. The aircraft was never mass-produced, but three prototypes were built and tested.
