The Avro Canada CF-105 Arrow was a Canadian fighter aircraft designed and built by Avro Canada. It was intended to be a high-speed interceptor for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) and was designed to intercept Soviet bombers during the Cold War. The Arrow was a cutting-edge design for its time, featuring a sleek and aerodynamic shape, a powerful afterburning engine, and advanced avionics. It was also the first aircraft to be designed with a digital fly-by-wire control system. The Arrow was a promising design, but it was canceled in 1959 due to political and financial issues. Only one prototype was ever built, and it is now on display at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum in Ottawa.
