Mona Lisa is a portrait of Lisa Gherardini, the wife of Francesco del Giocondo, by the Italian Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci. It is one of the most famous and iconic paintings in the world. The painting is in oil on a poplar panel, and it measures 77 x 53 cm. It was painted between 1503 and 1519, and it is now housed in the Louvre Museum in Paris.
