On Mother's Day, 2017, I knew that the sunny weather was to turn to rain, so I set out with my camera early. Once I drove a few miles out into the country, the sun was shrouded by mist, and I stopped along a country road outside of Cazenovia, New York to take this photo. Here, the bright green foliage of spring looks so vibrant against the gray sky. Trees reflect in the creek. Later that day, we had a rain and hail storm, so I was happy to have taken advantage of the morning sun and mist.
