The Republic F-84F Thunderstreak is a single-engine, single-seat fighter jet designed by Republic Aviation. It was the first American fighter jet to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. The F-84F was produced from 1954 to 1958, and served with the United States Air Force and other air forces around the world. The F-84F was retired from service in the 1970s.
