WestlandHill Pterodactyl

The Westland Hill Pterodactyl was a British single-seat fighter aircraft of World War I. It was designed by G.H. Handasyde and built by Westland Aircraft Works. The Pterodactyl was a pusher aircraft, with the engine mounted behind the pilot and driving a propeller at the rear of the fuselage. This configuration gave the aircraft a distinctive appearance, and it was often referred to as the 'Flying Pig'. The Pterodactyl was not a successful aircraft, and only a few prototypes were built.
