The Tupolev ANT-20 'Maxim Gorky' was a Soviet propaganda aircraft designed by Andrei Tupolev in the 1930s. Intended to showcase the achievements of Soviet aviation, it was the largest aircraft in the world at the time of its construction. The ANT-20 had a wingspan of 63 meters and a length of 33 meters, and was powered by six Mikulin AM-34FRN engines. It had a maximum speed of 220 km/h and a range of 5,000 km. The ANT-20 was used for propaganda flights over the Soviet Union and Europe, and was also used to transport troops and supplies during World War II. It was retired from service in 1941.
