Republic F105 Thunderchie

The Republic F-105 Thunderchief is a supersonic fighter-bomber aircraft that was used by the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1984. It was designed by Republic Aviation and was the first fighter-bomber to be capable of Mach 2. The F-105 was used extensively in the Vietnam War, where it was nicknamed the 'Thud' by its pilots. The F-105 was a large, single-engine aircraft with a distinctive double-delta wing. It was armed with a 20 mm cannon and could carry a variety of bombs and missiles. The F-105 was a successful aircraft and was credited with destroying over 200 enemy aircraft in the Vietnam War. However, the F-105 was also known for its high accident rate, and over 300 aircraft were lost during the war.
