The Saturn V launch vehicle was used by NASA to launch the Apollo 10 mission to the moon. It consisted of three stages, each with its own engines and fuel tanks. The first stage, the S-IC, was the largest and most powerful of the three. It was powered by five F-1 engines and used liquid oxygen and kerosene as fuel. The second stage, the S-II, was powered by five J-2 engines and used liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen as fuel. The third stage, the S-IVB, was powered by a single J-2 engine and used liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen as fuel.
