The Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR is a GT1-class racing car developed by Mercedes-Benz in 1997. It was designed to compete in the FIA GT Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The CLK GTR was based on the Mercedes-Benz CLK road car, but it was extensively modified for racing. It had a carbon fiber chassis and a V12 engine that produced 600 horsepower. The CLK GTR was a very successful racing car, winning the FIA GT Championship in 1997 and 1998. It also won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1999.
