USS Missouri Battleship
The USS Missouri Battleship is a historic naval vessel that played a significant role in World War II. It is an Iowa-class battleship, one of the most powerful types of battleships ever built. The ship was launched in 1944 and served in the Pacific Theater, where it was involved in several major battles, including the Battle of Iwo Jima and the Battle of Okinawa. The Missouri was also present in Tokyo Bay when the Japanese surrendered, officially ending World War II. After the war, the ship was decommissioned and placed in reserve. In 1986, it was reactivated and served in the Persian Gulf War. The Missouri was finally decommissioned in 1992 and is now a museum ship in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
