The 7KL1 was a Soviet spacecraft designed for the Soviet space program. It was intended to be the first crewed spacecraft to land on the Moon, but the program was canceled in 1964. The 7KL1 was a two-stage spacecraft, with a conical capsule for the crew and a cylindrical service module. The capsule was designed to accommodate two cosmonauts, and was equipped with a life support system, a control panel, and a docking port. The service module provided power, propulsion, and attitude control for the spacecraft. The 7KL1 was launched by a Soyuz rocket, and was intended to be placed into Earth orbit before being sent on its journey to the Moon.
