About a year ago I came across Philip k Dick’s book V.A.L.I.S. I found it totally mesmerising and wondrous. Its part fiction, part autobiography, part science fiction, part political satire, part work of philiosphy and religious exploration. He accepts that all these ‘revelations’ could possibly be insanity or drug induced sequelae. Except for the fact he had some real life experiences that reinforced the validity of his visions, this was where his faith and intellect wrestled. Hand drawn.
