The Mazda 717C was a Group C sports prototype race car built by Mazda for the 1989 World Sportscar Championship season. It was powered by a 2.6-liter twin-turbocharged rotary engine and was driven by a team of experienced drivers, including Johnny Herbert, Volker Weidler, and Bertrand Gachot. The 717C achieved several notable successes during its racing career, including a victory at the 1989 24 Hours of Le Mans.
