Shuten-doji: The Oni King's Feast

An original Japanese woodblock-style illustration of Shuten-doji, the legendary king of the oni from Mount Oe. His wild white hair framing crimson horns, he lounges on a black-and-gold throne and raises a cup of sake with a sly, fanged grin, while red oni guards stand watch beneath mitsudomoe crest banners and skulls lie among the sake jars. Rendered in vermilion, ink black and aged gold on a washi paper texture. A bold piece for fans of yokai and Japanese myth.
