The North American Aviation YF-107 was a prototype fighter aircraft designed for the United States Air Force in the 1950s. It was intended to be an interceptor aircraft, capable of defending the United States from Soviet bombers. The YF-107 was a cutting-edge design, featuring a sleek and aerodynamic shape, and was powered by two powerful engines. It was capable of reaching speeds of over 1,000 miles per hour and had an impressive range. Despite its impressive performance, the YF-107 never entered production. The program was canceled in 1957, due to the emergence of new technologies and the changing needs of the USAF.
