Prepare your artwork for upload
There are a few rules for uploading on Displate that you must follow to get your artworks accepted and published on the platform.
- Upload only high-quality images in JPG format.
- The file size should be at least 2900 x 4060 px in a 1.4:1 ratio.
- Go for 300 DPI (or more) in RGB mode.
DONT'S:
- Do not place text or content too close to the edge of the design.
- Do not add frames in the composition.
- Do not manually increase the pixel dimensions of images.
- Do not add filters to increase the quality of images.

- What’s yours, stays yours. Whenever you upload your artwork, you continue to control the rights to it regardless of whether it goes live or not.
- We will protect your work and their copyright. You have the full right to remove any of your artworks at any time.
- Make sure your artworks don’t infringe upon the copyrights, moral rights, publicity rights, privacy rights or any other rights of another person or third party.
- We have a zero tolerance policy regarding intellectual property rights infringement. Put simply, stealing other people’s work and passing it as your own is against the law and against what Displate stands and will stand for.
Make your design easy to find and sell
Tagging and categorizing your artwork in the right way can significantly boost your visibility in Displate search.
- Pick a unique (yet appropriate!) name for your artwork.
- Add 7 to 20 tags that correspond directly with the subject of the artwork.
- Stick to proper categories.

Build a collection that sells
Find the right theme for your soon-to-be-bestselling collection and make it consistent.
- Finding a theme:
- follow people’s passions: remember that people buy posters with things they love,
- find a niche: a movie, a game, a certain art style,
- check the trends: use the Displate trending tool, which you can find on your dashboard, check Pinterest and Google trends.
- Adjust the design to your theme: color, style, form, composition.
- Start local and go global - expand your collection if you can (first maps of countries, then cities etc.).
- Create a big collection rather than several smaller ones because:
- it performs better and you give people wider choice,
- it will have better exposure on the website,
- it will get a better chance of participating in paid campaigns on Displate.

Top FAQS
You need to register an artist’s account on our website to sell artworks with Share and Earn. Please go here and select the 'Submit portfolio' button to send us your portfolio. Just note that we verify only messages with a link to an online portfolio. Also, we will contact only those artists whose artworks are in line with the vision of Displate. After getting our approval, please go to your profile page, collection or a single artwork and click 'Share and earn' button to create your Share and Earn link. Then share it around the world - place it on your social media, website, blog or wherever it fits!
Please note that those artists who will not get any response within the next five business days are considered as not accepted for Displate for which we are sorry.
Within 30 days of sharing the link, you may earn a 41% commission of the net price of your artwork minus taxes and fees. As for the Limited Edition Displates sold via Share & Earn, the commission is 10%, minus taxes and fees. Just please check here if PayPal is available in your country as all pay-outs are made via PayPal only.
We use special cookies for that. They help us determine the source of traffic and purchase on our site. Thanks to this trick we know who is responsible for the sales.
Cookies will help us with this. Once they are created, they are live for 30 days. Which means a user doesn’t have to make a purchase right away for you to earn your commission. The purchase can be made anytime during that 30 days period for us to assign the commission to your account.
Please go to the top right corner of the page to find section 'Earnings'. Information related to sales and earnings is displayed in the sections 'My Commission' and 'Sales Statistics'.
Your commission is published after the period of 24 hours of selling the product and then will be available to request the payment after the period of 10 days of selling the product. You will be able to withdraw money via PayPal once you earn at least 50 USD. Note: you will receive your pay-out within 45 days from the date of requesting.
