The Mercedes-Benz W126 was a series of luxury cars produced from 1979 to 1991. It was the successor to the W116 series and was itself succeeded by the W140 series. The W126 was available in sedan, coupe, and station wagon body styles. It was powered by a variety of inline-six and V8 engines. The W126 was a critical and commercial success, and it is considered to be one of the best Mercedes-Benz models ever produced.
